We are currently studying the book of Matthew. We are examining the life of Christ in the book of Matthew as a living exapmle of what the Christian life is really all about. In the course of our study we are going to learn that the Christian life is a life of service, devotion, hardship (at times), faithfulness in the face of persecution, spirit filled. Recently we have studied Matthew 5 in which we learned that the beattitudes are the outworking of the fruit of the Spirit detailed for us in Galatians 5. As Jesus teaches on the law He presented to the Jews that the law was about their hearts and how they were to live in relation to the two greatest commandments: Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, soul and mind; and Love thy neighbor as thyself. We learned that we are to be honest in our dealings with our brothers in Christ, honest in our dealings with our own selves (acknowledge our weaknesses and confront them through the power of the Spirit), honest in our dealings with God, honest in our dealings with those outside the faith and finally, honest in our dealings with our enemies (those who oppose the Lord). You will be enriched and strengthened in your walk and faith as we learn together what it means to be a Child of the one true God.
Women's Bible Study

Our next meeting is on Thursday, October 30th, 2008. Then we will meet two weeks later on November 13th, 2008. We are currently studying in the book of Mark. Please come and join us for a wonderful time of study and an even more powerful time of prayer. Great things happen when these ladies pray!!!
