Children's Ministries

Nursery Ministry (Newborn - 3 Years)
Chisholm provides a nursery for infants and toddlers with a paid staff who are CPR trained and and not afraid of diaper changes.
Nursery is provided during all services:
• Sunday Mornings 9:20 am - 12:15 pm
• Sunday Evenings AWANA Clubs 5:00 - 7:00 pm
• Wednesday Evenings 6:30 - 7:30 pm
Pre-K Ministry (4-5 Years)

Children's Ministry (K through 6th Grade)
During the Sunday School hour children's classes are divided into two groups: K-3rd and 4th - 6th Grade.

Sunday school from 9:30 - 10:30 am. Children's Church is offered during the Morning Worship Services every 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Sundays. On 4th and the occasional 5th Sundays we encourage families to worship together.
Children's - Music & Drama
Chisholm Baptist Church encourages their children to share their faith and learn to worship through dramas and the power of music. They perform short dramas in the worship services throughout the year. At Christmas, the children and youth, along with the adults, prepare a special presentation and also participate in our various Christmas activities including parades and a live nativity.
AWANA Clubs
AWANA clubs will meet every Sunday evening during the school year. This important ministry offers our children the opportunity to learn about the gospel of Christ in a fun and challenging way while at the same time instilling in them the strength of God's word. Our Awana clubs will range from 2 years to 6th grade and will offer a special program for our youth.

Puggles (Age 2 & 3)
Awana Puggles is an enriching program that presents basic biblical concepts: We are a unique creation of God and God loves us very much. Awana Puggles teaches toddlers simple lessons through teaching cards, activities, music and more.
Cubbies (Preschool)
The Awana club for preschoolers is built on two premises:
• Young children can and should receive spiritual training.
• Home is the primary place for spiritual training.
We meet these needs through fun! (And lots of it!)
Sparks (K to 2nd Grade)
Sparkies is the club for children in kindergarten through second grade builds on the material taught in our preschool clubs. The curriculum takes kids a step deeper into God's Word while giving unsaved boys and girls regular opportunities to hear the gospel and come to faith in Jesus Christ. After being immersed in solid foundational teaching at the preschool level, boys and girls frequently come to an understanding of their need to trust Christ as their personal Savior while in Sparks.
Truth & Training (3rd to 6th Grade)
Truth & Training is designed to teach 3rd through 6th graders the truth of God's word and then train them to follow Christ in their daily lives. It is the foundation of preparing these young people to become the future leaders of God's church in the future. The goal of this club is to instill in our children the principle that Christ came to seek and serve.
Trek (Middle School)
Chisholm is doing something unique with this program. The bible study materials will be taught during the Sunday school hour for this age group and they will then put what they are learning to practical use by becoming leaders in training during the AWANA club time on Sunday nights. This is the second phase of teaching our young people what it means to serve Christ and one another.
• AWANA meets on Sunday evenings from 5:00 - 7:00 pm
About the Youth:
We are not a social club, a clique, or just a "youth group." Everyone is welcome. The Youth group is more than a meeting group, It's a movement. It's a cause. It's a person. In our group, we strive to be students united in Christ, empowered by Christ, devoted to Christ, even though we come from radically different backgrounds.
What We Do:
7th Through 9th Grades. "It is our prayer that the students in our class experience and understand the passion Jesus Christ had for people. We pray that His passion is reflected through us." - Clevern and Kayce McBride
Our aim is to accomplish this goal by instilling in them a heart for serving the Lord through our AWANA Leaders-in-training program and weeekly study of God's Word. God has called us to be disciples of Jesus Christ and part of that calling is teaching others. We encourage our kids to follow Jesus' example of serving and love for others. They are our tomorrow, and if we don't teach them about Jesus then who will.
10th through 12th Grade. Our Senior youth ministry is currently in transition and will be updated as soon as possible.
Women's Ministry:
In the challenging world in which we live, regardless of age, background or social standing, women need other women. This was true in the day of Naomi and Ruth, Elizabeth and Mary and for all women today. We need to share, laugh, rejoice and cry with other women. God made us unique and special.
We strive to reach across generational an social lines to bring women together, with Jesus at the center of our lives. We believe we are commissioned vessels to spread His love, His compassion, His understanding and His acceptance of the broken and the brokenhearted and to minister to each other through our individual experiences. We are all raised up to be spiritual mothers, daughters and sisters to and for each other.
We invite and welcome you to join us and/or visit with us. Our women's ministry has an ongoing curriculum that includes bible studies, quarterly brunches with special speakers, Valentine's banquet, Women of Faith conference in August, Mother/Daughter tea, retreats and help with our Vacation Bible School among many other things.
We do have fun, but it is ultimately our heart's desire to minister to members and non-members alike and to reach out to a hurting world wherever the Lord directs and to develop in all of us a heart like His! For more information you can contact Marty Salley at mosalley1189@gmail.com
